Reducing Energy Consumption
Solar energy is a green energy initiative we have implemented. Using solar power generation, Rewardown is able to reduce our dependence on traditional energy sources like coal and gas, reducing the amount of energy we consume and the amount of carbon dioxide we emit. Solar power generation also produces no pollutants such as exhaust gas and wastewater, which reduces air and water pollution. Our electricity consumption in 2023 will be 80% powered by solar energy.
Implementing Water Conservation Measures
At our company, we recognize the urgency of the situation and are actively working towards implementing water conservation measures. Our goal is to achieve a significant milestone by circulating 90% of our production water by 2023. By doing so, we aim to reduce our reliance on freshwater resources, minimize our environmental impact, and contribute to the overall well-being of our planet.
Engage in Waste Management
At Rewardown, we are committed to reducing waste generation and promoting recycling as part of our comprehensive waste management system. We have implemented various measures to effectively manage and dispose of waste in an environmentally friendly manner. A total of 574 tons of metal buttons and zippers were saved at our facility in 2023.
Promoting Sustainable Packaging
We prioritize the use of eco-friendly packaging materials, such as recyclable or biodegradable boxes and bags. Our cardboard boxes are proudly FSC-certified, which stands for Forest Stewardship Council. This certification ensures that our packaging meets rigorous environmental and social standards. Our bags are produced with a corn stretch material, which is an innovative and eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic.
WE GO EXTRA MILE IN SUSTAINABILITY
We're proud to achieve impressive down and feather recovery rates, ranging from 80% to 90%. Each recoverable cluster and feather undergoes meticulous screening and processing to ensure we select only the highest quality down.
When clusters and feathers can't be recovered, we utilize innovative methods to repurpose them into organic resources. Given their origin as animal fibers, these damaged feathers are transformed into organic fertilizers, contributing to environmental protection and supporting sustainable agriculture.
Fabric processing is a crucial aspect of our recycling efforts, demanding precise handling. We collaborate with advanced fabric factories dedicated to fabric recovery and repurposing, transforming textiles into new, valuable materials and products while minimizing environmental burden.
No detail is too small for us to overlook, including product accessories like zippers and buttons. We ensure no component goes to waste by redirecting surplus metal and plastic parts to suitable material factories, where these accessories are reprocessed into innovative new products.
